NMN & Resveratrol Tips

Tip #1:  Store NMN in a Cool, Dry, Dark Place

When exposed to heat, water, or light, NMN degrades into nicotinic acid or nicotinamide. To avoid potential issues, keep NMN in a dry, sealed, opaque container. The bag your NMN comes in is great for this. Also, be sure to store NMN in a cool climate. 76 degrees Fahrenheit (24 Degrees Celsius) or cooler is ideal. Temperatures higher than this could cause your NMN to degrade. Many people keep their NMN in the original NMN Direct packaging, and place the entire package in their refrigerator (though this is not recommended if you have children).

Tip #2:  Take Resveratrol With Dietary Fat

For best results, we recommend that resveratrol be taken with a food or beverage containing fat. Studies in animals have shown that taking resveratrol with dietary fat increases bioavailability by as much as 500%. Avocado, milk, soy milk, almond milk, yogurt, nuts, and cheese are all good sources of dietary fat.

Tip #3:  Store in a Secure Location

Be sure all supplements are stored in a secure location, away from children and pets. The safety and efficacy of resveratrol and NMN has not been verified in children or pets. Please be sure to keep all supplements out of reach of children and pets.

Tip #4:  Avoid Taking Resveratrol With Blood Thinners

Some studies suggest that resveratrol may act as a mild blood thinner. This could be dangerous if you are already taking a blood thinner. Do not take resveratrol if you are taking a blood thinner, such as warfarin (Coumadin).

Tip #5:  Do Not Take Supplements While Pregnant or Breastfeeding

The safety of NMN, resveratrol, and curcumin has not been evaluated in breastfeeding or expecting mothers. Do not take NMN, resveratrol, or curcumin if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, are planning to become pregnant, or suspect you may be pregnant.
